Getting Started

How does BagRescue work?

After signing up, you securely link your Too Good To Go account via email verification (we never see your password). Then add the stores you want to watch. Our smart timing learns when bags drop and reserves your bag in under a second — before anyone else gets there.

How do I link my Too Good To Go account?

Go to Settings and enter the email address you use for Too Good To Go. TGTG will send you an email with a PIN code — enter that code in BagRescue to complete the link. Important: just enter the PIN, don't click the login button in the email. Check your spam folder if you don't see it. If you get a "too many attempts" error, wait 15 minutes and try again.

Do I need to keep the app open?

Nope! Our servers monitor your stores around the clock — no need to keep any app or browser open. You'll get notified when we grab a bag for you.

How do I add stores to monitor?

There are two ways: import your favorites directly from Too Good To Go (easiest), or add a store by pasting its TGTG link. You can manage all your stores from the My Stores page.

Auto-Purchase

Does it actually work? Will I get the bag?

Yes! BagRescue reserves your bag in under a second once it drops — before most people even get a notification. Most TGTG bags sell out in under 60 seconds — we're faster than any human refreshing the app.

Why do I need a saved credit or debit card in Too Good To Go?

For auto-purchase to work, Too Good To Go needs a stored credit or debit card on your account. Apple Pay and Google Pay won't work because they require manual approval each time — TGTG doesn't save them for future purchases. To fix this, just open the TGTG app, find any available bag, go to checkout, and choose "Credit or Debit Card" to complete a purchase. TGTG will save the card automatically.

What if it buys a bag I can't pick up?

You're in full control! Use scheduling to only auto-buy on days you can pick up — set specific days of the week or exact dates. You can also pause any store instantly from your dashboard. If your plans change last-minute, just pause before the next drop window.

Why haven't I gotten any bags yet?

A few things to check: (1) Make sure your TGTG account is linked — go to Settings to verify. (2) Make sure you have a saved credit or debit card in the TGTG app (not Apple/Google Pay). (3) Make sure your stores are active (not paused) on the My Stores page. (4) Some stores are very competitive — BagRescue learns their drop patterns over the first 48 hours and gets faster over time.

Account & Security

Is my Too Good To Go account safe?

Absolutely. We use Too Good To Go's official email-based verification — the same flow you use to log in on their app. Your credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption, and we never store or see your Too Good To Go password. You can unlink your account at any time from Settings.

What does "re-link your account" mean?

Occasionally, Too Good To Go sessions expire and we need a fresh connection to keep monitoring your stores. If you get a re-link email, just go to Settings and link your TGTG account again — same process as the first time. It only takes a minute.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. You'll have a 30-day grace period to change your mind — just log back in to restore your account. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed.

Billing & Subscription

How does the 3-day free trial work?

You get 3 days completely free — no charge until day 4. During the trial, you can monitor up to 5 stores with full auto-purchase and save up to 25. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won't be charged a cent.

How much does BagRescue cost?

BagRescue Pro is $4.99/month or $49.99/year (saves you $10). This includes unlimited stores, unlimited rescues, auto-purchase, and all features.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Billing in your account settings and tap Cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of your current billing period — no partial charges, no cancellation fees, no questions asked.

Can I pause my subscription instead of canceling?

Yes! Monthly subscribers can pause for 1-3 months. Your stores will be paused during that time and automatically reactivated when billing resumes. You can pause from the cancellation flow or contact us.

I was charged after I thought I canceled. What happened?

This usually happens when a charge processes right at the end of a free trial or billing period, just before the cancellation takes effect. If this happened to you, reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out right away.
